In May, for Mother's Day, my family surprised me with a weekend stay in La Crosse. Loving to hike, the four of us spent Saturday at Perrot State Park, climbing the many many many many many many steps on the West Brady's Bluff Trail to the tippy top. I not only made it, but also kept both lungs, both kidneys and both knees. Did my vision blur at one point? You betcha. Was the time spent with my husband of 25 years and my adult children worth it? And then some.
1. Sunglasses? Check. Ready to go? Sure, it's just a hike.
